1. Information about this action on school website 2. Information campaign at school (posters, leaflets, form periods) 3. Event schedule (when, what hours, classes involved, preparing a video clip and presentation about Amnesty International and ‘Write for rights’ campaign, preparing all the necessary materials – paper, models of letters, etc.) 4. Organising the event on 3 December 2019. 15 classes involved, 420 students (1, 2, 3 grades), 17 teachers, 770 letters written. 5. Feedback and sending letters to the embassies and consulate offices. A lot of letters were written, many students and teachers were involved, bigger knowledge about Amnesty International and greater awareness of human rights, discrimination and persecution. Making young people more sensitive to the suffering and harm of other young people. Shaping attitudes of solidarity with the weak and disadvantaged, awaking empathyand sensitivity to other people’s needs. Showing the right attitudes when it comes to fighting discrimination. Making young people see that their actions can make a change. Showing them peaceful and safe ways of solving problems. This event was strongly connected with schools main tasks and its pedagogical program. One of the aims of school is to involve students in various forms of helping people, who are often disadvantaged, underprivileged, in a difficult social, economic or political situation. The letter-writing campaign with Amnesty International was one of many events organized at school where all the students, not only those involved in the project, can work together for the disadvantaged, weak, discriminated, persecuted, imprisoned and tortured. By participating in such events we shape in our students the right attitudes and values which lead to prosocial activities in the future.
